As part of our commitment to the community, and in accordance with the codes of conduct set out by the S.A.I.F. and the N.A.F.D., Walter H. Squires & Son make a simple funeral service available.
This funeral service, called The Simplicity Service, is offered to ensure a dignified funeral service can be provided whilst minimising any unnecessary financial burden for the bereaved.
The Simplicity Service is comprised of the following:-
Our professional services
Provision of a simple coffin suitable for cremation or burial
Provision of the necessary staff
Attending to the necessary arrangements
Transfer of the deceased from the place of death during normal working hours (the S.A.I.F. & N.A.F.D. codes of conduct suggest providing this service within 10 running miles but Walter H. Squires & Son allow up to 35 running miles due to the proximity of local hospitals)
Care of the deceased for up to fourteen days prior to the funeral
Provision of a hearse direct to the nearest crematorium or cemetery (the S.A.I.F. & N.A.F.D. codes of conduct suggest providing this service within 10 running miles but Walter H. Squires & Son allow up to 35 running miles due to the proximity of local crematoria)
The Simplicity Service excludes, but is not limited to the exclusion of, the provision of the following:-
Embalming
Viewing of the deceased
Provision of a limousine
Conveying the coffin into church or a private address prior to the funeral
Printing of order of service sheets
Placing of notices in newspapers
Ordering of floral tributes
Conveying floral tributes to a hospital or home after the funeral
Collection and storage of cremated remains
Any fees or disbursements payable on the clients behalf
The cost for The Simplicity Service is £2,015.00 plus disbursements and is subject to the following stipulations:-
The arrangements must be made at Walter H. Squires & Son's offices, within office hours, on the day and time offered by Walter H. Squires & Son
The funeral must take place on the day and time offered by Walter H. Squires & Son
The hearse must travel direct to the crematorium/cemetery
Payment for all necessary disbursements must clear before the funeral takes place (failure to do so means the funeral will be delayed until the payment has cleared)
The final account must be paid within 14 days of the funeral
