From Tradition & Integrity Comes Peace of Mind

Our new community notice boards being put to good use already, supporting the Poppy Appeal As a gift to the community Walter H. Squires & Son recently invested in a street side notice board at the foot of our premises in Pinhoe Road, Exeter, with the intention of offering it to all local nursing homes, residential and care homes, Churches, surgeries, clubs and organisations, as a way of promoting services or events, and are now warmly inviting the community to make use of this facility, which has been installed at a significant personal cost, free of charge and without limit.

Commenting on the latest in a long line of community projects, Ryan said “Since 1933 my family have proudly provided a caring, highly professional level of funeral service from our premises in Tiverton. After becoming head of the business following my late Father’s passing in 1997 I dedicated myself to providing the very best level of service available, and in 2008 this was extended into Cullompton with the opening of our unrivalled premises in Higher Street. We have since gone on to become the only truly independent family funeral directors in these areas, and in April of this year I decided to further extend our care into Exeter, with the opening of the first of our premises, in Pinhoe Road. Occupying what was the old Post Office (which many would regard as the hub of a community) we are doing our very best to become a valued member of the community which we are privileged to be a part of, and following a conversation with one of the local Churches, I decided to install the notice board for the community to make use of; whether that be to advertise a jumble sale, an open day, a missing pet, a pensioners' offer at the local hairdressers, Church service times, anything you can think of."

If you would like to visit any of Walter H. Squires & Son’s offices, or visit the Exeter offices to see the new notice board and make use of it, please call to arrange a convenient day and time to meet, we would then be very pleased to welcome you, tell you more about the business and answer any other questions you may have.
