From Tradition & Integrity Comes Peace of Mind

Walter H. Squires & Son we’re privileged to attend a special assembly at St. Andrew’s Primary School, Cullompton given to say thank you to local businesses whose donations helped to provide books for many local schools.

Headteacher Mr Robert Whitell started the assembly with the theme of Community and Generosity. The children we’re then introduced to the various professionals who had collaborated in providing the books and Ryan and Melanie Squires were pleased to represent Walter H. Squires & Son as well as other local businesses who had made a contribution, concluding with Ryan speaking to the children about why it’s important to participate in your local community and why it’s especially important to read, study hard and do your best at school.

When asked how it felt to be back in school after such a long time Ryan said “It was actually a little nerve racking but the children and Teachers were very kind. When we were approached by Andrea Penfold of Usborne Books and asked to make a donation we didn’t hesitate, investing in the future of the local children is one of the most rewarding things we’ve been asked to do, and Mel and I were honoured to represent not only our family company but the other contributors by being present and speaking to the children.”

Issued on behalf of Walter H. Squires & Son
