Melanie Squires and Councellor Barrie Marshall

On Tuesday 22nd April 2008 Walter H. Squires & Son's Cullompton Chapel of Rest was officially dedicated, in a multi-denominational ceremony, prior to the official launch and opening.

The ceremony was led by Reverend Anna Norman-Walker on behalf of the Anglican Churches of the Culm Valley, the following local Churches were also represented:- Reverend Paul Booth (Cullompton Baptist Church), Reverend Colin Wood (Cullompton Methodist Church), Reverend Edward Channing (St. Boniface's Roman Catholic Church), Mr Charlie Clist (Hebron Evangelical Church) and Captain Diana Green (The Salvation Army).

Ryan and Melanie would like to sincerely thank eveyone who attended the dedication, especially Reverend Norman-Walker who co-ordinated the whole ceremony.

Councillor Barrie Marshall, Cullompton's Mayor, unveiled the Chapel Dedication Certificate at the official launch of the premises and is pictured above with Melanie Squires, after the unveiling.
