Walter H. Squires & Son has taken delivery of a Mercedes Vito Private Ambulance purpose built to their own exacting specifications.

The vehicle, built by Binz UK, allows the dignified and private conveyance of the deceased from Hospitals and Nursing Homes etc and replaces their now retired Vauxhall Omega estate car.

Unlike many other alternative vehicles the interior of the new vehicle, featuring automatic rise and fall decking, has been finished in walnut veneer and chrome fittings just as a traditional Hearse deck would be. Although the interior of the vehicle will rarely be seen by anyone other than employees it was felt that it was essential to ensure that the image presented was no less dignified than that of a traditional Hearse.

Just like the rest of the fleet, the new vehicle features air conditioning for the comfort of the drivers.
