Walter H. Squires & Son require an experienced and highly motivated funeral director to assist in the running of their successful family business.

The position requires a truly dedicated professional as our reputation, which we highly value, has been achieved through hard work, loyalty, integrity and commitment to the company’s good name and values.

The successful candidate will be expected to work to the highest standard in order to meet the high expectations of the families we are privileged to care for. The successful candidate will also be required to share on-call duties and assist in running the offices, mortuaries and workshops.

A holder of the Diploma in Funeral Directing would be preferred, but is not essential. Salary, relocation packages, pensions and further enhancements will be discussed according to the merits of the candidate.

This is a very demanding position, but is rewarded by serving people in a time of need and being part of one of Devon's most respected independent family run funeral directors.

Excellent computer skills are essential, as are communications skills and customer service skills. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, as well as under their own initiative.
